I like Hikaru No Go.

Hikaru No Go is an anime series comprised of 75 episodes, with a story revolving around the table game 'go'.

Hikaru Shindo, the main character, is a boy who finds a mysterious go table on his grandfather's attic. That go table is haunted by a friendly spirit, Fujiwara no Sai, who is a passionate and expert go player.

Initially, Hikaru doesn't take much interest in go, but allows Sai to play a few games now and then through him. The very first game played is against Akira Touya, a boy who is about Hikaru's age but already an accomplished go player. Sai beats and impresses Akira, and this event puts in motion the rivalry between Hikaru and Akira.

Akira chases the perfection he saw in Sai's game, and slowly Hikaru too takes increasing interest in go and decides to become a worthy opponent to both Sai and Akira.

Hikaru No Go is a series with a captivating atmosphere. As Hikaru, the viewer too is drawn to the go board.

A phrase of prime importance is "kami no itte" (or "hand of god"), symbolizing the concept of perfect play, its clarity, and the state of mind required to achieve it.
